Studio Artists

Now in its fifth season, Madison Opera’s Studio Artist Program is an important part of the company’s artistic and educational mission. The Studio Artists are three young singers based in the Madison area, all in the transitional period between graduate school and their professional careers. Over the course of a season, Studio Artists perform small roles and understudy major roles in Madison Opera’s main stage productions, gaining significant professional experience. Equally important, the Studio Artists are Madison Opera’s ambassadors, performing in a variety of outreach and preview events throughout the city, prior to performances and throughout the year.
