Elizabeth Caballero – Micaëla
Acclaimed by the San Francisco Chronicle as a "powerful diva in the making" Cuban-American soprano ELIZABETH CABALLERO is becoming widely recognized for her fearless portrayals of the lyric soprano repertoire. She was recently praised by the New York Times for a "show-stopping performance." Recent season highlights for Ms. Caballero included Nedda in I Pagliacci and Musetta in La bohème at New York City Opera; Mimi in La bohème at Florida Grand Opera; Lisa in La sonnambula with the Opera Orchestra of New York at Carnegie Hall; Adina in L’elisir d’amore at San Antonio Opera; and Violetta in La traviata at New Jersey Opera Theater. Upcoming engagements include her mainstage debut at the Metropolitan Opera as Frasquita in a new production of Carmen.
