Doug Scholz Carlson – Stage Director Director Doug Scholz-Carlson is an Associate Director and founding company member of the Great River Shakespeare Festival, where he recently directed Macbeth for the main company and Cymbeline and As You Like It for the Apprentice Company. Other directing credits include The Tender Land for Madison Opera and numerous works for Minnesota Opera’s Resident Artist Program, Minnesota Shakespeare Festival and the Institute of Vocal Artistry in Minneapolis. Mr. Scholz-Carlson assistant directed at the Minnesota Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, and Utah Opera, for such productions as the world premiere of The Grapes of Wrath. As an actor, he has appeared on stage at the Guthrie Theater, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Minnesota Opera, and the Utah Shakespearean Festival.
