Join the Madison Opera Book Club!

The Madison Opera Book Club is committed to exploring literature related to a selected season opera. During the 2008/2009 Season, the Book Club read The Year the Yankees Lost the Pennant and discussed how this modern-American take on “the deal with the devil” related to Gounod’s Faust. The 2009/2010 selection is Henry James’ chilling novella The Turn of the Screw, which served as the basis for Benjamin Britten’s opera of the same title.
