Help Keep Madison Opera Thriving!

Ticket sales alone do not cover the expenses of producing opera. Even with a completely sold-out performance, ticket sales cover less than 30% of the cost of putting on opera, a statistic that is true of opera companies nationwide. These expenses include the enthralling performers, talented orchestra musicians, skilled backstage personnel, evocative sets and costumes, and much more. The balance must be raised from supporters like you.

It is easy to contribute to Madison Opera. Click below to donate online, or mail a check to Madison Opera, 335 W. Mifflin Street, Madison, WI 53703. For personal assistance, call us at (608) 238-8085.

Why Your Donation Matters
Making a donation to Madison Opera means you’re interested in keeping live opera thriving in Madison. Whether you are an opera aficionado, are new to opera, or just desire to keep Madison rich with diverse cultural offerings, your donation is the driving force to producing the grand theatrical and musical experience that only opera can provide. As a patron, you will be part of a growing community that acknowledges Madison Opera’s regional reputation for artistic excellence and supports our educational and outreach programs.

Without donors, there would be no opera. Ticket income less than 30% of the cost of putting on a production; ticket prices would more than double without the support of Madison Opera patrons.
