Thrilling. Funny. Heart-racing. Smile-inducing.
Welcome to Madison Opera’s 2020/21 season.

We are creating a Digital Fall to replace our production of Il Trovatore, which had to be cancelled due to the pandemic.  Lasting from September to December, it includes both digital content and live performances at the Margaret C. Winston Madison Opera Center, our home in downtown Madison.

She Loves Me comes from the golden age of Broadway musicals, when young couples exchanged witty barbs, mistaken identities could be easily resolved, and happiness was just around the corner.

The Marriage of Figaro is quite simply sublime, a human comedy where the stakes are real, the people are flawed, and laughter and love go hand-in-hand.

At a time when our world feels fragile, these performances are chances to connect with your community, through music and stories that have resonated across centuries and continents, reminding us of our shared humanity.

Please join us to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Madison Opera and the power of opera to reach us at any time and place.
