Join us as a Madison summer tradition returns!
In 2002, Madison Opera embarked on a new and ambitious venture: a free outdoor concert called Opera in the Park. In the years since, audiences have enjoyed music from 136 different operas, musicals, operettas, and zarzuelas, performed by artists who sing all around the world.
Opera in the Park 2021 took place on July 24 under a glorious full moon. Soprano Amanda Majeski, mezzo Rehanna Thelwell, tenor Andrew Stenson, bass-baritone Kyle Ketelsen, and conductor Stephanie Rhodes Russell treated audiences to a program of Mozart, Puccini, von Weber, Elgar, Dvořák, and much more. Click here to see the repertoire list.
If you weren’t able to join us in Garner Park – or want to relive that evening – we are delighted to offer a delayed stream of the concert beginning Saturday, August 7 at 7pm Central. Thanks to our generous sponsors, Opera in the Park is free to watch and will remain available until September 7, so you can catch every note whenever and wherever you want.
