When she is not finding socially isolated rocks to climb Anna Aderton is hunkered down at home.

Like so many others, Anna is doing her best to do her job, help her kids with school, and be of service wherever she can.

She says, “It’s a privilege to look up from my Zoom meetings to see buds on the tree branches and flowers emerging from the mulch. I can smell my newest project, sourdough, baking in the kitchen. It is a time of seeing the reality around me, trusting for our daily bread, doing the best I can, and making our garden grow, along with everyone else.”

Our 2020/21 Season Revealed!

April 17 would have been the opening night of Orpheus in the Underworld. We are sorry we could not share such a fun production, but we plan to program it in the 21/22 season.

Although we could not be together in person this weekend, we are delighted to share this video recorded by two of our leading Orpheus artists, Jeni Houser and David Blalock. We hope it will give you some musical diversion and a smile.

Jeni and David sang at last summer’s Opera in the Park, and have long histories with Madison Opera. The Wisconsin residents both made their Metropolitan Opera debuts this season, and we are proud to have them in the family.

Please enjoy their singing, and we look forward to the time when we can gather together again.
